Steve and I were going climbing one day and he said 'you should run this 50K up at Snowbird with me'. 'Yeah, right. You're crazy.' was my reply. Little did I know that this was the beginning of my ultra running career. I started trail racing the next summer and ended up doing the 50K up at Snowbird for the past 3 years. This year my challenge was to run the Wasatch 100 in under 24 hours. I pulled it off in 22:21 and ended up in 5th place or '1st Utahan' as Jen likes to say.
